Peas and Grace food pantry is open to the public on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 8:00 am until 10:00 am. The entrance is in the education wing by the smaller staff parking lot.

This ministry typically serves 24-36 food-insecure families weekly in partnership with community donors and the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. We can only do this through the generous donations of time and money from our congregation and community. We are blessed to be able to help so many in our community in their time of need.

Please share this information with community members who may need food assistance.

A significant outreach ministry of Grace Church is our partnership with the Windy Hill Foundation to provide affordable housing in The Plains. In 2010, Windy Hill teamed with Grace to renovate our old Victorian-era rectory on Fauquier Avenue. In the preceding years, the rectory had fallen into disrepair and for financial reasons was nearly demolished.

A proposal from the Windy Hill Foundation to lease the property from Grace and renovate it for affordable housing was approved by the Vestry. Windy Hill and Grace worked together to raise funds for renovation, and in November of 2012, two 2-bedroom units were made available in The Plains, significantly increasing the affordable housing options in the village.

Fellowship at Grace includes a weekly “Coffee Hour” reception following the 10:30 am service (9:30 am in the Summer); Homecoming Sunday in September, where the parish shares lunch following a combined service; our Annual Meeting; and other special events throughout the year.

These gatherings are made all the more enjoyable by our Hospitality Committee, made up of volunteers whose ministry is bringing the congregation closer together and providing a warm welcome to visitors. Please consider signing up to host a “Coffee Hour” (guidance provided) or to be part of the Hospitality Committee.
