Give + Pledge

A pledge is a promise. It is a way of acknowledging that all we have comes from God and is entrusted to us for God's purposes. Each fall, we invite every member of our congregation to make a pledge — a commitment to give a specific amount during the coming year.

When you pledge, you help sustain the ministries of our church and support God's work in the world. Your generosity makes ministry possible. Pledged gifts support worship, Christian formation, pastoral care, outreach, and the stewardship of our beautiful church.

Making a pledge before the start of the calendar year is essential for the vestry and staff at Grace in The Plains to develop the annual budget and plan ministries for the year ahead. Your commitment helps us faithfully serve our congregation and the wider community.

How and when you fulfill your pledge is up to you. Most people do not make their entire gift at once. Instead, many find it easier to give incrementally throughout the year through recurring online donations, monthly contributions, or periodic gifts by check. In fact, pledging often enables people to give more intentionally and consistently over time. See the section below on recurring gifts for more information.
